Declaring the arrest of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf as illegal, the Supreme Court directed Imran Khan to approach the Islamabad High Court again.
In the Supreme Court, a 3-member bench headed by the Chief Justice heard the petition against the High Court decision on the arrest of Chairman PTI Imran Khan. The bench of the Supreme Court included Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minullah.
The Supreme Court declared The Arrest Of Imran Khan Illegal and ordered the IG Islamabad to produce Imran Khan at 4:30 pm and said that no political leader or activist will come to the court. Following the court orders, Imran Khan has been brought to the Supreme Court under tight security.
When Imran Khan was produced in the court, Attorney General, IG Islamabad was also present in the Supreme Court. On reaching the courtroom, the Chief Justice said it is a pleasure to see you come to the rostrum.
The Chief Justice said that incidents of violence are happening in the country after your arrest. We want peace in the country. It is being talked about that your workers should come out in anger. We want you to hear us and tell us.
The Chief Justice said that you were present in the biometric room in the court on May 9. When a person comes to the court, it means he surrenders. The arrest of Imran Khan was illegal.
The Supreme Court directed Imran Khan to approach the High Court tomorrow and said that you have to accept the decision of the Islamabad High Court.
