Wembanyama is all but guaranteed to be the Betclic Elite MVP as he’s currently leading the league in points scored, rebounds and blocks, averaging 21.8 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocks so far in the 2022-23 season while playing at the highest level of French basketball.
Whether Wembanyama immediately becomes one of the NBA’s biggest star, there is at least one category in which he is guaranteed to stand out: height. The Metropolitans 92 star is a towering presence in France, and even when he reaches the United States, he’ll be a difficult player against whom to defend.
